Haringey's food hygiene inspectors got there sooner.
A nursery has opened on the Hornsey School for Girls site on Inderwick Road, run by a woman who was once a pupil there.
Monkey Puzzle Crouch End occupies the School House building at the N8 9JF site and operates under the Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries brand. Its operator, named in the company's own announcement as Natasha, was born and raised in Crouch End and attended the secondary school on whose site the nursery now sits — "a true full-circle moment", as the release has it.
The paperwork tracks the opening. Ofsted's early years register records the provider — URN 2886646, Hornsey School For Girls, Inderwick Road — as opened on 8 April 2026. Newly registered settings are inspected within 18 months of registration, so there is no inspection report yet: parents comparing nurseries have the registration and nothing to read alongside it.
Haringey's food hygiene inspectors got there sooner. The kitchen, registered as "Monkey Puzzle Nursery & Preschool @ (Caring Premises)" at the School House address, was inspected on 14 July 2026 and rated 5, very good.
What the records do not settle is the question most local parents will ask first: how many places there are, for which ages, and what one costs. The nursery's website says only that it is "a brand new nursery now open" for babies, toddlers and preschool children.
On the current registration date, Ofsted's first inspection is due by early October 2027 at the latest. On places, age ranges and fees, the operator has published nothing so far; we will report the answers when we have them.
