Good morning

A quiet few days on the Broadway, but two stories are worth your attention: the Old Dairy's brief flicker back to life on Crouch Hill, and a run of bus diversions and tube disruption that will have caught a few of you out this weekend. Thames Water is digging up Tottenham Lane and the Victoria line had a rough Saturday night.

The big story

Old Dairy opens three nights, not as a pub

The listed building at the bottom of Crouch Hill, dark since Greene King closed it earlier this year, hosts three comedy and cabaret nights on 31 October, 28 November and 12 December, organised by Martin Besserman of Monkey Business Comedy Club under the name Finsbury Park Cabaret. Besserman is explicit that these are 'one-off pop-up nights' rather than a reopening, and says the pub has been shut for 'the past few weeks' — shorter than some earlier reporting suggested. Worth knowing if you've been wondering whether the Old Dairy is coming back as a pub: not yet, and not like this. READ →

Diversions run via Park Road, Priory Road, Church Lane and Ferme Park Road depending on direction and route — check TfL's live status page before you travel if you rely on these for Hornsey station or the Broadway.
